Built environment refers to the man made surroundings that provide the setting for human activity, ranging from the large-scale civic surroundings to the personal places.
There are SIX important elements of production which consist of :
1. INTENTION
2. ACT
3. PRODUCT
4. ACTOR
5. RULE
6. SITE
INTENTIONIt is the idea from mind. It is about mission or objective of someone to produce the built environment. Intention is the first step in the progress of production. A target in life is a psychological necessity. A man without an intention may be likened to a ship without a rudder.
ACTOR
Actor is the one who takes part in the production. Actor plays the main character in the built environment like building designer and landscape architect.
ACT
It is actually what we have done and also the steps taken in the progress of production.
PRODUCT
The achievement at the end of the process.
RULES
Is about law or regulation to the built environment. Such as planner, they have guide of rules or law.
SITE
Site is a suitable place or location where the actors want to build what their plan.
To have INTENTION,we must have knowledge. Knowledge is necessary to build up the intention. And the knowledge is the product of certain ACT to gain the knowledge which must involve the listening, seeing, and differentiating. While the RULE is actually an ideology and it is simply, what is right is right, and what is wrong is wrong. What is right or wrong is all determined and depend on us as the ACTOR (the source of ism which underlies our intention).
